Jacob “Jake” Paul Roos, the son of Korwyn “Kory” L. and Julie L. (Grooters) Roos was born December 18, 1998 in Sheldon, Iowa. He grew-up in Matlock, Iowa, attending the Sheldon Community Schools. In 2010, Jake moved with his parents to the Roos Family Farm near Ashton, Iowa and he graduated from the Sheldon High School on May 28, 2017. Jake was working for Grooters Feedlot of Sanborn, Iowa as a farm hand. He passed away in an accident near Phillipsburg, Kansas on October 27, 2017 reaching the age of 18 years, 10 months and 10 days.
Jake was a member of the Bethel Reformed Church of Sheldon and was active in its Youth Group. Growing up he was active in 4-H, FFA, wrestling, football and track. After high school Jake was Loving and Living his dream, hauling livestock for Roos Land & Livestock.
He is survived by his parents, Kory and Julie Roos and his two younger brothers, Jarrett and Kolton all of Ashton; his paternal grandparents, Edwin and Beverly Roos of Sheldon, Iowa; his maternal grandparents, Glenn and Mary Ann Grooters of Sanborn, Iowa; he is also survived by his uncles, aunts, relatives and many friends.
Jake is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal great-grandparents.
