Dr. Gary Kemper, 29 years of age, died Tuesday night, November 8, 1960 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital following a lingering illness.

He was a son of Gerrit J. Kempers and Sadie Scholten Kempers. Dr. Kempers was born on a farm near Hull, Iowa, on February 26, 1931. After graduating from the Sioux Center Public School he attended Central College at Pella for two years. Dr. Kempers graduated from Iowa State University in 1955 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. On September 10, 1955 he married Miss Rosemary De Bruyn at Pella, Iowa. Following two years of military service Dr. Kempers practiced Veterinary Medicine in Sioux Center for two and one half years.

He was preceded in death by one brother, John A. Kempers, who died on August 5, 1944. Survivors are his wife Rosemary, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit J. Kempers, a sister Joan (Mrs. John Bultje) of Denver, Colorado, brother Orville of Hull, Iowa, four nephews and two nieces.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 11, 1960 at 1:30 P.M. from the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center. Reverend Harry Brower will officiate. Burial will be in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dr. John Post, Dr. Donald Wert, Dr. Russell Simonsen, Dr. Viril Bohnenkamp, Dr. Donald Lyon, Dr. Quentin Sundberg.
