Services for McElroy held Monday

Funeral service, were held at the Methodist church in Rock Valley Monday afternoon for Mrs. Mabel McElroy, who diedFriday in Sioux City.

The Rev Mervin Nelson officiated with Mrs. E. R. Haas at the organ. Soloist was Mrs. Edward De Haas, who sang "Going Down the Valley" and "Beyond the Sunset". Interment was in Riverview
cemetery near Rock Rapids.
Pall Bearers were Donald Cannegieter, Jacob Timmer, Ray Woolridge, Edward De Haas, Ed Schmidt and Gys Kuyper.
Preceding the church services rites were held in the home.

Mrs. McElroy was born Nov. 25, 1890 in Rock Rapids, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Collenbaugh.
She married Oney McElroy Aug. 17, 1918 and following his death in 1947, she moved to Rock Valley, where she had since resided.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ethel Wesselink, a brother, Paul Collenbaugh, and a nephew John Paul Colienbaugh, all of Rock Valley.
