Evert Driesen , dies October 19

Evert Driesen, 86 died at his home in Sioux Center early Thursday morning, Oct 19. He was born September 8, 1875 in the Netherlands. Mr. Driesen married Fannie Eekhorn in 1903 and they came to America in 1913.
They had four children, Tillie, Mrs. M. Maassen of Rock Valley, Rolena, Mrs. M. Van Grooteheest, of Hull; John Driesen of
Hudson, and Jeanette, Mrs. Dick Post of Rock Valley.
Mrs. Driesen preceded him in death in 1945.
He was married to Margaret Berghof Struyk in 1952. She also survives.

He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Mr. Driesen is further survived by the following brothers and sisters, Klaasr Driesen of Rock Valley, Trientje, Mrs. Jake
Rus of Sioux Center, Hilda, G. Blankespoor of Rock Valley, and Johannes Driesen of the Netherlands.

Funeral services were held October 23 in the home at 12:45 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Netherlands Reformed church with
Rev. C. Hegeman officiating.
Burial was in the Valley View cemetery in Rock Valley.
The funeral was under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home.
