From the Sioux County Index (Hull), February 23, 1923, Local News:

The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Beyers died last Friday [Feb. 16]. The little one was only five days old. The sympathy of all of the neighbors and friends go out to the grief-stricken family.

Actually, this appears to be Clarence Beyer, whose death certificate shows him born February 12, 1923 and died in Hull February 17, 1923 at 1:30 p.m., 5 days old; farmer’s child; parents Henry Beyer, born in Holland, and Elizabeth Essink, born in Nebraska; cause of death “ ‘Buhl’s disease,’ Hemorrhagic disease of the newly born”; buried in Hope Cemetery, Hull. (William Beyer of Hull is given as the informant for the death certificate.)
