Mrs. Lewis Jungers of Hospers passed away on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock in the Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs. She was 54 years of age.

Mary Remacle married Lewis Jungers in 1906. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Remacle, one of the first settlers. It was in 1913 when they took up residence in the town of Hospers, that the Hospers Savings Bank was started. Her husband, Henry, served as president of the bank.

Funeral services were held on Monday morning at 9:30 in the St. Anthony’s Church. Father Thoenissen had Mass and the sermon was given by Father Bosh of Sutherland. Father Dries, formerly of the St. Anthony’s Church also attended the funeral. Burial was made in the St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
