Mrs. Peter Jonas, 82, of Alton died Saturday in Orange City Hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services were at 10 A.M. Tuesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Reverend Raymond Wieling officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.

Rosary was recited at 3 and 8 P.M. Monday in the Alton parish hall.

The former Eva Diederich, Mrs. Jonas was born November 28, 1885, in Granville, and was married there September 6, 1910. Mr. Jonas died in 1959.

Survivors include four daughters, Gertrude, Mrs. Andy Stanley of Blue Jay, California, Bernice, Mrs. Charles Hastert and Jean, Mrs. Don Schneider, both of Alton, and Charmaine, Mrs. Ross Jonstone of Cedar Glen, California; four sons, Victor of North Hollywood, California, Al of Alton, Ivo of Los Angeles and Peter of Remsen; and 23 grandchildren.
