Mrs. William Joanning, 55, of Granville died Sunday in a hospital at Orange City of a long illness.

Services were held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville. The Reverend Francis Nemmers officiated. Burial was at the parish cemetery, under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home at Remsen. The rosary was recited at 5:00 P.M. 7:00 P.M., and 8:30 P.M. at Spalding Hall at Granville on Tuesday.

Mrs. Joanning , formerly Lucille Schnurr was born July 4, 1924 at Granville.

She was married February 14, 1946 at Hospers. The couple lived and farmed in the Granville area.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Ladies Choir of the Church.

Survivors include the widower; three sons, Harvey of Lubbock, Texas, Roger of Norwalk and James of Alton; five grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Herman (Emma) Schnurr of Fulda, Minnesota; four brothers, Edward of Hospers, Bernard of Hopkins, Minnesota, Donald of Urbandale, and Gerald of Des Moines; six sisters, Mrs. Sherman (Helen) Land of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Carle (Blanch) Eich of Sheldon, Mrs. James (Mary) Ahlers of Fulda, Mrs. Peter (Mildred) Thom of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Tom (Irene) Cullen of Des Moines, and Mrs. Robert ((Bertille) Neper of Wilmont, Minnesota.
