Mrs. Edward Jepson, 79, of Hawarden, died Saturday, August 11, at the Hillcrest Care Center after a brief illness.

Services were at 11 A.M. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church, Hawarden. The Reverend Marion Bloodworth officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home of Hawarden.

Mrs. Jepson, the former Rosella Frank, was born February 3, 1900 in Union County, South Dakota. She married Ed Jepson on August 7, 1924, at Jasper, Minnesota.

The couple lived in Hawarden during most of their married life except for seven years when they resided at Storm Lake. He died July 18, 1969.

Mrs. Jepson was a member of the Harden United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Perry (Elaine) Heard of Storm Lake and Mrs. Art (Lorena) Stinkey of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; five grandchildren; a brother, Willis of Hawarden; four sisters, Miss Viola Frank of Hawarden, Mrs. Otto (Eva) Freidrich of Jasper, Mrs. John (Frances) Zeig of Le Mars and Mrs. Arlyn (Bethel) Carr of California.
