Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ver Hoef and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ver Hoef drove to Sheldon Monday
afternoon to attend funeral services held for their uncle, William Grooters, 85. Also attending the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Koerselman.

Note: From an ancestry.com report William Grooters was born 2 Mar 1877 Nassau Township Sioux Co. IA died Jan 1863 buried in Sheridan Township Cemetery Boyden IA. He was the son of Bernard John Grooters and Jennie Visser. He was married to Cornelia Kate VerSteeg 1877-1969. They had seven children.
