PETER JELTEMA, SR.

Funeral services were held at the First Christian Reformed Church at Orange City January 3 for Peter Jeltema, Sr. , 54, of Orange City, who died at his rural Orange City home December 30 of a heart attack. Services were conducted by the Reverend Robert Tjapkes and burial was make in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.

Mr. Jeltema was the son of Peter and Maartje (Haarsma) Jeltema born near Ireton October 9, 1914.

He married Lucy Kroeze March 10, 1938 in Orange City. The couple farmed in Sioux County except for four years spent in Michigan.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Bruxvoort of Jenison, Michigan; two sons, Peter Dean of Orange City and Rodney, stationed at Saigon, a member of the air force; three grandchildren; a brother, John of Orange City, and three sisters, Mrs. Arie Smits and Mrs. Peter Kroese of Orange City and Mrs. Marvin Timmerman of Middleville, Michigan.
