Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon, December 2, at the First Christian Reformed Church here for Mrs. Ring Jasper, 77, who passed away Monday morning at the home of Mrs. Henrietta Jasper following a stroke.

Reverend Jabaay conducted services with special music provided by Ronald Jasper accompanied by Mrs. Henry Bruxvoort, organist. Burial was made in the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral home.

Pallbearers were Arie Jasper, Clarence Jasper, Marion Jasper, John Sjaarda and Bernard Steensma.

Mrs. Jasper, nee Etta Sjaarda, was born February 3, 1888 at Arum, Netherlands, and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Klaas and Winnie (Heins) Sjaarda. She came to the United States in 1893. She married Ring Jasper on September 26, 1912 and two children were born to this union. Mr. Jasper preceded her in death on July 30, 1952.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth, Mrs. Richard Hof and son-in-law, Mr. Hof presently living in North Little Rock, Arkansas; Seven grandchildren, Laurel and Sharon Hof of North Little Rock, Arkansas, David, Kenneth, Nancy, Robert and Jane Jasper of Lakewood, California, also survive her.

Preceding her in death were her husband; a son Roger on September 18, 1856; two brothers, John Sjaarda and Nicholas Sjaarda and one sister, Kathryn Steensma.
