Ben Gesink, 81, Orange City, died Monday at Heritage House in Orange City after a long illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. John H. Rubingh officiating. Burial in West Lawn Cemetery will be under the direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home.

Mr. Gesink was born March 18, 1896, in The Netherlands and came to the United States at the age of 17. He married Minnie De Jong Feb. 27, 1921, at Orange City. She died on June 27, 1968. The couple farmed near Orange City. He retired 16 years ago.

Survivors include two sons. Burl of Sioux City and John of Orange City; four daughters. Mrs. Albert (Albertha) Van Roekel of Sanborn. Mrs. Henry (Henrietta) De Jong of Orange City, Mrs. Henry (Ella Mae) Vander Wind! of LeMars and Mrs. Lois Snieder of Orange City; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, William and Englebert, both of Orange City, and four sisters, Mrs. Henry (Johanna) Pennings and the Misses Bertha and Minnie Gesink. all of Orange City, and Mrs. Arie F. (Harriet) Noteboom of Alton. He was preceded in death by one brother. Gerrit E. Gesink; two sisters, Mrs. Bert Ter Hoorst and Christina.
