Mrs. James (Barbara) Jacobs, 81, of Granville died Thursday, July 5, in a Sioux City Hospital after a long illness.

Services were at 10: 30 A.M. Saturday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville. The Reverend Francis Nemmers officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

Mrs. Jacobs, the former Barbara Graff, was born May 31, 1903 in Granville to Mr. and Mrs. John Graff (Katherine Bunkers). She was raised and educated and was a lifelong resident of Granville. She married Otto Full in 1924 at Granville. He died in 1925. She married James Jacobs December 27, 1930 at Granville. They were engaged in farming in the Granville area until retiring; they then moved into town.

Mrs. Jacobs was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the Church Guild and the Christian Mothers.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Dr. Emmett Full of Mount Airy, Maryland; a daughter, Mary Ann Vandermark of Houston, Texas; a brother, Otto of Cedar Rapids; four sisters, Mrs. A.J. (Florence) Miller and Mrs. Bert (Charlotte) Ballard, both of Granville, Mrs. Ray (Gertrude) Schilmoeller of Algona and Bernice Hassmann of Warner Robins, Georgia; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Joseph, Milo and Magnus and one sister, Miss Geraldine.
