Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth (Bessie) Jacobs, 80, of Valley Manor, were held Monday, October 13, 1:30 p.m. in the pioneer United Methodist Church with the Reverend William E. Ballard officiating.

Organist Mrs. Pier Wyma accompanied soloist, Mrs. Ed De Haas. Pallbearers were Raymond Brown, Edward Schmidt, Lee Schlecty, Hessel J. Roorda, Glen Benson and Gerrit Kersbergen. Burial in the Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jacobs died October 10 at Hegg Memorial hospital following a two month illness.

Elizabeth Tripp was born on September 9, 1889 in Rock Valley to Edwin F. Tripp and Jessie Rush.

She married Charles Jacobs on October 5, 1923. He died in 1963. She was active in Eastern Star Women's Club and was a goodwill worker.

She made her home at Valley Manor during the past year.
