HERMAN HUSMAN DIES AT MONTROSE, SOUTH DAKOTA

Herman Husman of Montrose, South Dakota, age 73, passed away at a Sioux Falls Hospital October 5, 1953. He had been in ill health for the past twelve years and was in the hospital almost two months previous to his passing.

Mr. Husman with his parents moved from Kansas to Sioux Center, where he lived after his marriage to Antje Mindrup of Sioux Center on December 10, 1902. In 1904 Mr. Husman with his family moved to South Dakota where they lived at different places. They moved to their present farm between Montrose and Colton in the spring of 1942.

On October 12, 1952, Mr. and Mrs. Husman observed their golden wedding which was December 10, 1952 at the family home.

He’s survived by his wife, two daughters: Mrs. Ward Stalding of Grayland, Washington and Mrs. Lawrence Brody of Hartford, South Dakota; two grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Annie McCullough, Mitchell, South Dakota; one brother, Charles, of Winfred, South Dakota.

Interment was at St. Jacobs Cemetery at Colton, South Dakota.

Mr. Husman was a reader of the Alton Democrat for the past 50 years
