Funeral services for Tony F. Hunt, 65, of Granville, who died Friday, May 4, 1973, at the Orange City hospital, were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville with burial in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

The Mass was con-celebrated by Father Edward Hoffman and Father Michael Wendl. Joe Schuver was the lector and Mass servers were Darrell Hunt and Ricky Plathe, Mike Schuver was cross bearer. Carrying the offeratory gifts were grandchildren, Debbie Hunt, Steve Hunt and Ann Roethler. Music was by the grade school choir. Pallbearers were nephews Dareld Hemmen, Kenneth Chicoine, Donald Hunt, John Hunt Jr., Ray Loutsch and Bill Loutsch.

Mr. Hunt was born October 15, 1907 at Ponca City, Oklahoma, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Mary M. (Panther) Hunt. The family moved to Granville in 1909 where they farmed. Tony attended school in Granville and was married there to Helen Thorman on November 26, 1931. The Hunts farmed east of Granville until 1965 when they moved to the new home they built in Granville. Tony was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are the widow; four sons Freddie and Danny of Granville, George of Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Sam of Iowa City and one daughter, Mrs. Mark (Mary) Roethler of Dallas, Texas. One son David, the second child died in infancy. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; two brothers, John of Springfield, Minnesota, and Leo of Marton, Minnesota; three sister, Mrs. Chareles (Elizabeth) Lyons of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Art (Cecelia) Chicoine of Salix and Mrs. Clarence (Regina) Croat of Granville.

Peceding him in death were his mother in 1916, his father in 1918 and two sisters; Mrs. Emil (Rose) Loutsch in 1967 and Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Hemmen in 1970.
