From the Alton Democrat, March 6, 1925, Hull news:

PIONEER OF HULL PASSED TO BEYOND -- B. Wolfswinkel Laid to Rest

Mr. B. Wolfswinkel, one of the oldest residents in this part of the county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E. Moss at the age of 87.

Funeral services were held at the E. Moss home at 12:30 February 26th and at 2:00 o'clock at the Carmel Church. Interment at the Carmel Cemetery.

From the Sioux County Index (Hull), February 27, 1925:

MR. WOLFSWINKEL DIES

Old gentleman Wolfswinkel died Monday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed Moss, just north of Hull. He had been very low for several days. Mr. Wolfswinkel had reached the ripe old age of eighty-seven years. He is survived by a large family of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The funeral was held at Sioux Center, a great number being present. The Index joins in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

His death certificate has Brunes Wolfswinkel, retired farmer, widowed, born Feb. 26, 1838 in the Netherlands; parents' names not given; 49 years in the U.S.; wife Jantje Veenschoten; died in Hull Feb. 23, 1925 at 5:00 a.m. of acute dilatation of heart.
