From the Sioux County Index (Hull), January 30, 1925:

BABY SAWYER DIES

The fine big baby boy born to the Index editor and his wife on Thursday morning, January 15th, died Saturday morning, January 24, being just nine days old. Baby Sawyer was apparently one of the healthiest children born into our home, but two days before his death he contracted pneumonia which weakened his heart and he passed quietly from us. He was buried Saturday afternoon, short services being held at the home, Rev. Rasmussen of the Methodist church officiating.
