Miss Everdena Kooima was born to Mr. and Mrs. Siebert Kooima, Feb. 29, 1916, on a farm near Rock Valley. She died Feb.6, 1961 in her home in Holland, Michigan.

Miss Kooima attended the Rock Valley Christian school, Grand Rapids Christian high school, was a graduate of Calvin college, and recently received her Master Degree from the University of Michigan. She taught in the local Christian school for several years. Miss Kooima also taught in Christian schools in Chicago, Ill., Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and at the time of her death was teaching in the Christian high school in Holland, Mich.

Funeral services, for Miss Kooima were held Tuesday afternoon Feb. 7 in the Central Christian Reformed church in Holland and Friday afternoon. Feb. 10, in the First Christian Reformed church of Rock Valley.Burial was in the Rock Valley cemetery.

Survivors include three brothers; Simon S. Koima, Peter Kooima and Clarence Kooima, and four sisters, Mrs. Richard Eppinga, Mrs. Ed Ver Burg, Mrs. Ted Baartman and Mrs. William Schleis.
