From the Sioux County Index (Hull), September 19, 1924:

Word was received in Hull last week, of the death of Mr. John Rombough, at his home at Wessington, S.D., on August thirtieth. The Romboughs were some of the very oldest residents of Hull, and Mr. Rombough will still be remembered by some. He was over sixty years old and leaves a wife and two married children.

From the Alton Democrat, September 27, 1924, p. 7, Hull news:

Word was received here of the death of John Rombough of Wessington, S.D. on Aug. 30th at the age of 64. Mr. Rombough with his parents were some of the earliest settlers in Hull and owned part of the land on which Hull is situated. The lots on which the M.E. church is on were donated by the Rombough family. Mr. Rombough leaves a wife and two married children. Mrs. Rombough will be remembered by old settlers here as Miss Story.
