Steve G. Hulstein, 82, of Sioux Center died Saturday at the Sioux Center Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack while driving near Sioux Center.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Reverend Dennis Wilcox and the Reverend Henry A. Elgersma officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under direction of the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mr. Hulstein was born August 5, 1903 on a farm near Carmel and attended a rural Carmel school.

He married Pauline Vande Hoef October 7, 1930 in Sioux Center. The couple farmed near Sioux Center until their retirement when they moved to Sioux Center. She died May 16, 1985.

Mr. Hulstein was a member of Central Reformed Church where he was a former deacon.

Survivors include a daughter, Marlene Hulstein of Spencer; a brother, Raymond of Edgerlon, Minnessota, a sister, Mrs. Johanna Lihudis of Sioux Center and two grandchildren.
