Kenneth Hulstein, 65, of Sioux Center died Friday, June 16, 1995 in Sioux City.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 19 at the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Reverend Arnold Punt and the Reverend Donald Barnes officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center, under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born March 31, 1930 in Sioux Center, the son of William G. and Ann (Schuiteman) Hulstein. He attended Sioux Center schools.

On November 14, 1952 he married Eunice Schutt in Sioux Center.

He served in the Marine Corps from 1952-53. The couple farmed in the Sioux Center area. He enjoyed horses, camping, billiards and boating.

Mr. Hulstein was a member of the First Reformed Church. He worked as a volunteer at the International Children's Haven in Mexico during his winter stay.

Survivors include his wife; four sons and their wives, Kirk and Julie, Kelly and Sheryl, Kraig and Chen and Kembe and Kathryn, all of Sioux Center; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Gerrit of Soldier; and three sisters, Mrs. Elrich (Harriet) Vermeer of Sioux Center, Mrs. Paul (Vernie) Van Engelenhoven of Orange City, and Mrs. Carl (Wilma) Vermeer of Alexandria, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Kyle Kristopher.
