Angela M. (Gaul) Uhrich, 69, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Sanford Foundation Hospice Cottage surrounded by her family after her courageous battle with brain cancer.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Saturday, July 15 at the Church of St. Mary, 2109 S. 5th Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD with Interment at Milltown Cemetery, Milltown, SD.

Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, July 14, at Miller Funeral Home-Downtown, 507 S Main Ave. There will be a Wake and Rosary service beginning at 6:30 pm at the funeral home.

Angela Margaret Gaul, daughter of Peter and Marie (Arens) Gaul was born on August 6, 1947 in Le Mars, IA. The family lived in Granville, IA where she attended grade school and graduated from Spalding High School in 1966. She continued her education at St. Joseph School of Nursing in Mitchell, SD graduating in 1967.

Angela was united in marriage to Alfred Uhrich on May 3, 1969 in Granville, Iowa. They moved to Sioux Falls where she began her nursing career at Sioux Valley/Sanford Hospital and later worked in medical clinics and home health care, retiring in 2010.

She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Alter Society. Angela’s interests include gardening, flowers, her cats and taking bus tours. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Angela is survived by her husband Alfred Uhrich, Sioux Falls, SD; two son, Steven (Karin) Uhrich, Sioux Falls, SD and Robert (Thidapluk) Uhrich, Pattaya, Thailand; son-in-law, Brian Brenner and his fiancé, Emilee Fullenkamp, Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren, Trever, Deven and Ava Brenner; Ava Corrine “AC” Fullenkamp; Allison Reynolds, Cheyenne Miller; Natkritiya and Thanika Onklamphon and one great grandchild, Connor Aikman; three brothers, Peter (Barbara) Gaul, Arlington, VA, Ted (Elaine) Gaul, Des Moines, IA, and Joe Gaul, Granville, IA; five sisters, Sister Verna Gaul, Dubuque, IA, Marjorie (Bill) Childers, San Diego, CA, Rosemary (Marshall) Wilkes, Sioux Falls, SD, Clare (Ivan) Pottebaum, Grandville, IA and Kathy (Gayl) Hopkins, Clarinda, IA; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Marie Gaul; a daughter, Christine Brenner; two brothers and six sisters.
