Hawarden, Iowa ~ Jane Marie Eisma, 65, of Hawarden, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at her residence, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Hawarden with Pastor Stuart Schreur officiating. A luncheon will follow the service. Visitation will begin at noon with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden. Jane Marie Eisma was born September 15, 1951 in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of LeRoy and Lois Jean (Gaul) Heeren. She attended St. Mary’s School from K through 8th grade and graduated from West Sioux High School in 1969. She then attended the Le Mars Beauty College.

Jane married Dennis Eisma on December 21, 1969 at the United Methodist Church in Hawarden. They lived in rural Ireton, Iowa before moving to Hawarden in 1981. Jane worked as a cosmetologist, then for 21 years at K-Products in Hawarden. For the past 10 years she has been the manager at the Quick Corner in Hawarden. Jane received the most enjoyment in life when spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Eisma of Hawarden; 3 children, Kelly and wife Karie Eisma of Hawarden, Kriste and husband Josh Goodmanson of Augusta, Kansas, and Katie and husband Luke Sanderson of Ely, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Kolton and Kody Eisma, Macie and Mya Goodmanson, and Avery and Grady Sanderson; her siblings and their spouses, Cheri and Tom Sedgwick of Lillian, Alabama, Denny and Vicki Heeren of Leonardtown, Maryland, Dan and Machel Heeren of Nineveh, Indiana, Rick and Mary Heeren of Blacklick, Ohio, Julie and Jake Fox of Yankton, South Dakota, and Tom and Kim Heeren of Pine Island, Minnesota; also there are many nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Lois Heeren.
