Fisher, Chester Vernon Dr. born 15 Dec 1894 Orange City IA died 5 Jul 1926 Orange City buried in West Lawn cemetery Orange City IA. His parents were Jerome Fisher 1854-1917 and Betje ‘Elizabeth’ Muilenburg 1860-1922. His wife was Carolyn Preston Mentor 1894. They were married 11 Jun 1925 Sioux City IA. Dr. Vernon Fisher of Orange City who spent the past year in VA in hopes of regaining his health died July 5th on his way home just a few miles below Sioux city. He was taken sick with tyhoid fever and following the fever it was discovered that he was suffering from tuberculosis and he was taken to the state sanitarium at Oakdale and later when he did not make satisfactory recovery he went to CA for his health. He realized that he was failing fast and so wished that he might return home and see his friends. His brother, Dr. Ed Fisher of Orange City went to meet him and his wife and he was with them at the time of Dr.Vernon Fisher’s death.
