Finnie, Frances E. born 1915 died August 1935. She was the daughter of William Finnie born 27 Jan 1878 Union Co. SD, died 21 Jun 1959 Waverly MN and Helen Isabella Miller 1883-1975.

SECOND MEMBER OF FAMILY DIES HAROLD BYRNE FlNNIE PASSED AWAY SATURDAY MORNING
Death Followed That of Sister by Just Eleven Days. Two Others in Family Still ill.

Harold Byrne Finnie, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Finnie, passed away at his home, five miles northwest of Hawarden, at 3 o'clock Saturday rooming, after an illness of nearly a month from typhoid fever. His death occurred just eleven days following that of his sister, Frances Eleanor
Finnie, from the same dread disease. Two other members of the family, Mr. Finnie and son Jack, are still ill with the disease.

Funeral services were held at the Associated church at 2:30 Sunday aft sermon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. T. Harding. Interment, was made in Grace Hill cemetery.

Harold Byrne Finnie was born on a farm in Union county, S. D., northwest of Hawarden, Jan. 9, 1913, and passed away Aug. 31, 1935, at the age of 22 years, 7 months and 22 days. All his life was spent in this community. He attended, the rural school in his home district and later attended the Hawarden high school. Since leaving school he had assisted with the work on the farm. He was £ great favorite among his friends and associates and was known for his cheerfulness and unselfishness.

Besides his parents he is survived by one sister, Katherine, and two brothers, Donald and Jack. Donald had been in Alaska for some time but arrived home less than two weeks ago after he had been advised of the illness in the family. He also leaves many other relatives and friends who deeply with the affliction which has beset this family in recent weeks and all will join in the hope that those who are still suffering from the malady may soon regain their health and strength.
