Mrs. Collette C. Faber, 80, of Alton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Orange City Municipal
Hospital after a brief illness. Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. The Rev. Fr. David Hogan will officiate, followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.

Collette Cecilia Sauer was born Feb. 23, 1901, at Alton, the daughter of Henry Sauer and Mary Mulvaney Sauer. On June 6, 1927, she married Raymond Michael Faber at Alton. They lived in Chicago, IL., where Mrs. Faber was a sales clerk at Marshall Fields. In 1963, they retired to Alton. Mr. Faber passed away June 15, 1981. Mrs. Faber was a member of St. Mary's Church and active in its organizations, including the Rosary Society.

Survivors include three sons: Raymond M. Faber, Jr., of Chicago; and Dr. Frank Faber and Rodney
A. Faber, both of Glen View, IL.; seven grandchildren; and two sisters: Mrs. Mina Kass of Remsen, and Mrs. J.T. (Blanche) Even of Alton. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Faber was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
