*Ewing, Robert G. died 22 Apr 1872 age 2 yrs 3 mo son of T. and M. E. buried in Greenwood cemetery Matlock IA, as listed in the Sioux County cemetery index.

Note: in the 1880 census of Grant Township Sioux County IA, is listed Thomas Ewing age 48 a farmer, wife Mary age 52 Children at the time were John R. 14, Peter N. 12, James E. 8. In the 1885 Iowa census lists Thomas Ewing age 53 born in Canada lived in Grant township, wife Mary age 46 born in Canada, John Roy 18 born Canada, Peter B. 16 born in Canada and James W. 12 born in Sioux County IA.
