Note: From the St. Mary’s church book family story, Edward J. Even was born in SD on Dec 31, 1897 moved to Alto iwh tis parents in 1899. Ed, also known as “Ole’; workded with the fmailhy business for many years. Then for the Slagle Lumber Co. for many years. Ed retired after sevcing as custodian for St. Mary’s Parish in the 1950s. He married Olive Arens of Remsen. Ed died Dec 16, 1960. Olive lived in LeMars.
