Grandma Gerdes, an aged lady, living with some of her children southwest of town, after a long sick-spell, passed into rest last Saturday afternoon. She has been a great sufferer for several months. She was past seventy-three years of age. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the German Lutheran church, the Rev. Mr. Schmidt in charge.
