Elbert, Rosa C. M. died 9 Aug 1892 age 1 yr, 10 mo, 19 dys. Daughter of J.A. and E. C. Buried in St. Mary’s cemetery at Hawarden IA as listed in the Sioux County IA cemetery index.

Her father’s obit gives the family as follows:

Joe Elbert a well to do farmer who resided seven miles northwest of Rock Valley died April 23 of Bright’s disease and was buried Monday afternoon under the auspices of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Rev. Frank Travis delivered the funeral oration at the house in the presence of a large gathering of Neighbors and friends after which the remains were laid to rest in Valley View Cemetery. The children who are bereft of a father have the sympathy of the community in their sore affliction

(Joseph Adolph Elbert born 8 Feb 1860 died 23 Apr 1909. He was born in Kenosha WI to Joseph Elbert 1818-1906 and Dorothea Maria Kublitz 1830-1897. His wife was Elizabeth Christina Ebbing 1866-1900, they were married 28 Feb 1887 in Kenosha WI. children were – Aliosus, Rosa, Josephine, Vincent and Louis. )
