Mrs. John Sol died at her home in Alton on Thursday morning May 15th after an illness of four and a half months of dropsy. Deceased had reached the age of 71 years, 10 months and 18 days and was born in Holland. At the age of 32 she came to this country and in 1888 located in Sioux county. Before coming to America, in 1865, she was united in marriage to John Sol. The ceremony was performed in Zaandam Holland. This union was blessed with nine children--six of whom survive. The funeral services will be held this Saturday afternoon from the Reformed church. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sol of Leota, Minn., Mrs. R.J. Dove of Sibley, and Miss Grace Sol of Sheldon have arrived to attend the services. Deceased is survived by her husband, two sons and four daughters--Henry of Leota, Minn., Nick of Alton, Mrs. C. Sorgdrager of Alton, Mrs. R.J. Dove of Sibley, Mrs. Harry Croll of Zion City, Ill., Mrs. Henry Nienhuis of Sioux City.
