From the Rock Valley Bee, November 2, 1923, Short Local News Items:

Frank Tasshaller, of Everly, Iowa, arrived the first of the week to attend the funeral of his brother, John Tasshaller, who died at Clarinda, Iowa, and whose remains were brought to Rock Valley, his old home, for burial.

From the Alton Democrat, November 3, 1923, Rock Valley news:

John Tasschuller was brought here from Clarinda, Iowa Monday for burial. Funeral services were conducted at St. Mary's church Tuesday morning by the pastor, Rev. John A. O'Rielly. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery south of town.

FindaGrave.com has John Tasshaller, 1874-1923, buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rock Valley, with photos of the family tombstone and his headstone.

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has John Tasshaller, b. 1874, d. 1928, St Marys Cem Rock Valley IA. This is no doubt him, with the death date a typo or mis-interpretation of the headstone.

His death certificate on Ancestry.com shows him as a single white male, age 49?, parents and birthplace unknown, occupation laborer, died October 26, 1923 at the Clarinda State Hospital of exhaustion from chronic nephritis, buried October 29 at Rock Valley.
