SAD DEATH OF YOUNG WOMAN
GAVE BIRTH TO BABY BOY ANDTHEN QUICKLY EXPIRED
Mrs. Wayne Earll Passed Away Last Friday Evening Under Most Distressing Circumstances
This community was greatly saddened when it was learned that Mrs. Wayne H. Earll had passed away
about 8:30 o'clock last Friday evening, just a few minutes after giving birth to a baby boy. The trying ordeal through which she passed proved too much for her strength and as she was recovering from the effects of anaesthetic her heart fluttered momentarily and then ceased to beat. Her death occurred at the home of her husband's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Earll, where she and her husband have made their home since their marriage last fall.

Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church at Ireton at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. E. Rich. Schmidt, pastor of the church, and interment was made in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, four miles east of Ireton. The funeral was one of the most largely attended which has ever been held in Ireton, attesting to the high esteem in which she was held in the community where she was born and reared.

Minnie Onken, daughter of Hajo E. and Margaret Ricklefs Onken, wag born on a farm near Ireton May 9,1900, so was only 24 years, 2 months and 2 days of ago at the time of her death. Her father died when she was 12 years of age and with her mother and family she made her home in Ireton until her marriage to Wayne H. Earll only last fall. She attended the public schools in Ireton and was always prominent and active in the public schools in Ireton and was always prominent and active in the affairs of the Lutheran church, in which she was confirmed at the age of 14 and in social circles in Ireton. Her happy and genial disposition made her a great favorite among all her acquaintances and there is genuine sorrow at her untimely passing. To the young husband and wee babe, whom she was never given the privilege ofshielding with a mother's caress, a wave of deep sympathy goes out, and her mother, brothers, sisters and other relatives share in this universal expression of sympathy.

Besides the husband and babe, she leaves to mourn her mother, Mrs. H E. Onken of Ireton, three brothers and five sisters, Gerd Onken of Hartford,S. D., Reiner and Andy Onken of Ireton, Mrs. Jno. Toenjes, Mrs. Herman Schultz, Mrs. Fred Schmidt and LauraOnken of Ireton, and Mrs. Win. Johnson of Oakdale, Neb., and her parents in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Earll of this city.
