Winter, Dorothea ‘Dorothy’ born 1895 Iowa died 11 May 1962 buried in St. John’s cemetery at Boyden IA. As listed in the Sioux county IA cemetery index.

Note: From an ancestry.com report (done by others) Dorothea Bahlke was born 12 May 1894 Wheeler Tsp Lyon County Ia. Died 11 May 1962 buried in St. John’s cemetery Boyden IA, daughter of August Bahlke 1859-1933 and Anna Boehmke 1861-1943. 1930 census lists husband as William H. Winter born about 1889.

Her husband’s obit follows
Wilhelm H. Winter, 88, of Boyden, died Tuesday at the residence of a brief illness.
Services were at 2 P.M., Friday in St. John Lutheran Church, rural Boyden, the Rev. Daniel Hart officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, with the Vogelaar-Bolin Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Winter was born April 1, 1889 in rural Boyden. He married Dorothea Bahlke Sept. 14, 1917 at the home of her parents. The couple farmed. Mrs. Winter died in 1962.
Survivors include five sons, Albert, Fritz, Arnold and Ernest, all of Boyden, and Louis of Hastings, Neb.; two daughters, Miss Martha of Boyden and Mrs. Albert (Betty) McKnight of MacAllen, Texas; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, The Rev. John of Waverly, Adolph of Luverne, Minn., Albert L. of Boyden and the Rev. Theodore of Austin, Texas; and one sister, Mrs. Dorothea Fick of Luverne.
