Ricky Woodrow Peters, 59, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at Cherokee Specialty Care in Cherokee, Iowa following an aggressive adrenal cancer diagnosis.
Graveside Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m, Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Kingsley City Cemetery in Kingsley, Iowa. Visitation with family present will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., all at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Ricky (Rick) Woodrow Peters was born October 14, 1957 in Hawarden, Iowa, the son of Woodrow and Evelyn (Peters) Peters. Rick worked for Jack and Jill Grocery Store in Hawarden before working at Iowa Lamb in Hawarden  for 18 years. Later, he worked at Wells Dairy in Le Mars, Iowa for 8 years until retiring at age 57.
Rick married Rose (Willer) Peters on November 9, 1985 in Craig, Iowa. They made their home in Craig, later moving to Hawarden and  Ireton, Iowa before moving to Le Mars in 2007. Rick enjoyed bowling, tennis, baseball, collecting baseball cards, and playing video games. He liked to reminisce about new video games, his favorite sports teams, and enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Rose of Le Mars; three sons: Matthew Peters of Portland, Oregon, Richard (Amanda Hawkins) Peters of Le Mars, and Andrew (Alyssa) Peters of Orange City, Iowa; six grandchildren: Jadelyn, Aliyah, Kain, Avin, Kimberly and Scarlett; a brother, Gary (Doris) Peters of Le Mars; a sister, Shelly (Scott) Schlumbohm of Hawarden; and nephews and nieces.
Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Peters; parents; and grandparents.
