Patrick McNamara, 79, one of Rock Valley's set of lovable Irish twins, suffered a heart attack Monday and died. He had not gotten out of bed Monday and it was thought he was ill but only from a minor ailment.

He and his twin brother, Martin had lived together all of their lives. Neither had ever married.

They were born in County Clare, Ireland, Sept. 4. 1880 and came to this country in 1907. They lived around Rock Valley until 1923 when they moved to Littleport and farmed there until 1953 when they returned here.
In April they experienced one of their greatest wishes when they were naturalized after having been in this country for more than 50 years.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning in St. Mary's church with Rev. Father Edward Hoffman officiating. The Vande More funeral home from Hudson was in charge of services. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery. A Rosary service was held Tuesday night and so many persons attended that many of them had to kneel outside the home.

Survivors include many nephews and nieces in this vicinity.
