Nick Henrich, lifetime resident of Sioux County and the Alton vicinity, passed on at his home early Sunday morning after an illness of nearly five years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church here, with Reverend Rudolph Henrich, nephew of the deceased, officiating.

Mr. Henrich was born October 28, 1882 at Alton. He was married January 25, 1916, to Matilda Kellen. Survivors include the widow, two sons, Leo of Archer, Iowa; Pfc. Francis of Camp McCoy, Wisconsin; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Kellen of Granville and Mrs. Anita Stine of Las Vegas, Nevada; 7 grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Anna Schnee and Miss Clara Henrich, both of Alton, Sr. M. Cornelia of Mt. St. Francis, Dubuque; and three brothers, Joseph, Peter, and John, all of Madison, Minnesota

Pallbearers at the funeral were Peter Schneider, C.B. Schneider, Anthon Klein, Otto Kettler, Martin Streff and Mike Hansen.

Present from a distance at the services were Mr. and Mrs. Amos Klein, Sioux Falls; Mr. and Mrs. H.N. Kellen, Miss Catherine Smidt, Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gahan, Danbury; Arlene Kellen, Omaha; Peter and Math Frey, Mrs. A. Noelett, Hastings, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Martin, Cherokee; from Madison, Minnesota: Messrs. And Mesdames Joe Henrich, John Henrich, Peter Henrich, Alex Henrich, Miss Marcene and Anna Marie Schlossn, Robert and Mary Ann Henrich; from Adrian, Minnesota: Messrs and Mesdames Nick, Joe and Dom. Kellen, Vernon Branderburg, Ted Bullerman Jr., Frank Klein, Mrs. Ted Bullerman, Mrs. Lou Fritz, Mrs. N. Kunkel; Mrs. Clara Adler, Howard, South Dakota, Sr. M. Cornelia, Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. A. Neilson, Alcester, South Dakota, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stoll, Gaza; a large group from Archer and a number from Remsen and Le Mars and Sheldon.
