Capt. A. L. Burnell, a former resident of Rock Valley and Hull, a veteran of the civil war, who will be remembered by older citizens here, died in Missouri and was buried at Waterloo last week.

Note: According to Missouri Death Records on Ancestry.com, his name is Aurelius L. Burnell and he died 31 March 1913 at Chariton.
