M. Van Dommelen died at his home here last Friday after a brief illness. Deceased was born in North Brabant Netherlands eighty-three years ago, and came to this country in 1846 and settled in Michigan. In 1878 they came to Sioux county and settled near this place, later becoming residents of Orange City. Mrs. Van Dommelen died four years ago. Two daughters are left to mourn the loss of their father, Mrs. Punt and Mrs. Addink, both of this city. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Engelsman.
