Rites Held for Mrs. Sam Wynia

Funeral services were held at First Reformed Church here at 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 24, for Mrs. Sam Wynia, 76, of Sioux Center, who died January 21, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. Services were conducted by the Rev. Jack Boerigter and burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery here under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wynia, the former Minnie Draayer, was born in Orange City June 6, 1898. She was married to Sam Wynia October 13, 1919 in Sioux Center. The couple farmed near Maurice for many years before retiring and moving to Sioux Center. Mr. Wynia died March 10, 1974.
Survivors include three sons, Louis and John, both of Maurice, and Syne of Orange City; three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Wilmina) Wielenga and Mrs. Gerard (Sadie) Van Ravenswaay, both of Orange City, and Mrs. Wilson (Cynthia) Haarsma of Jenison, Mich.; a brother, Chris, of Ireton; 24 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
