Case Haverhals of Eagle Township passed away Monday morning, November 15, as the result of a heart ailment. He had been in poor health since last May, but had been able to be up and about until about two weeks preceding his death, when he suffered a stroke.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian Reformed Church at Lebanon, with Reverend Reinsma officiating.

Sebrecht C. Haverhals was born in the Netherlands May 2, 1898, passed away November 15, 1943, so was some past 45 years of age at the time of his death. He came to Sioux County in 1914. He was united in marriage with Miss Dirka Kooi, who passed away in 1927. Later he married Grace Zryland, who with seven children, survives him. Mr. Haverhals held a sale recently and had planned to leave the farm and moved to town in the near future.
