Mr. Sebrecht Haverhals, 86, passed away Thursday morning, February 23, at the home of his son Peter Haverhals at Sioux Center.

He was born May 19, 1863 at Sprang N. Brabant, Netherlands, and came to America 35 years ago. Mr. Haverhals lost his wife Anna Marie (Vander Hoeven) Haverhals on June 15, 1922 and after her passing made his home with his son where he lived for nearly 27 years. He had a stroke on July 9, 1949 and since that time has not been very well.

Mr. Haverhals is survived by three sons and two daughters, Adrian, John, Marie (Mrs. L.C. Vander Esch), all of Hawarden, Peter of Sioux Center, and Nellie (Mrs. T. Van Berkel) of Sioux Center.

Cornelius who died at the age of 45 and Adriana (Mrs. John Andela) age 30 preceded him in death as well as three children who died in infancy. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
