Dies From Diphtheria

Raymond, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Oostenburg, died Tuesday morning, October 24th, at the age of four years, ten and one-half months. He had been sick for a few days with diphtheria, and although for the last two or three days of his life hopes for his life were brighter, his heart action began to grow weaker Monday evening resulting in his death early Tuesday morning.

The funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. D. Dykstra, were held at the cemetery at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The community sympathizes with Mr. and Mrs. Oostenbrug[sic] in their sorrow and loss.
