Died: September 12, 1944

William Winfried Harman was born at Malcolm, Poweshiek Co. Iowa, on February 17, 1876 and passed away at the Hull Hospital on September 12, 1944 after a lingering illness. He was 68 years old. His father preceded him in death in 1878 and his mother in 1922.

He came to Sioux County in the fall of 1889, where he made his home with his brother most of his life. He is survived by his brother Henry, three nephews, Melvin and Kenneth Harman at Lake Wilson, Minnesota and Howard Harman of Boyden; two sisters, Mrs. Simon Vander Lee and Mrs. Arthur Riemer, both of Lake Wilson.

The funeral services were conducted by Reverend I.R. Barnes at the U.P. Church of Boyden on Thursday, September 14.

Pallbearers were John Miller, Gerrit Kooiman, Paul Schreuder, Joe Steintjes and George and Fred Reimers. Interment was made in the Boyden Cemetery.

Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Simon Vander Lee and daughters, Melvin Harman and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Harman and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Art Riemer and daughter all of Lake Wilson; Harry and Mabel Pickhardt of Richfield Wisconsin, and Martin Schultz and Lois Pickhardt of Malcolm, Iowa and Louis Oltrogee of Grinell
