Anna Caroline Bergman Work was born in Allegheny City, Pa. on June 20, 1879. She was married to Perl Marshall Work on July 4, 1898. One daughter was born February 6, 1904 and passed away on February 29 of the same year.
Mrs. Work was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She passed away suddenly on June 1, 1937 at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 19 days, exactly one year from the time her sister-in-law, Mrs. Verna Work passed away.
She leaves her two brothers, Henry and Charles Bergman, her two nieces, Mrs. Fred Wagner and Mrs. Victor Powers of Sanborn, Iowa, five other nieces and one nephew, Arthur Work.
Since the death of her husband she and her brother Henry have kept up the home in Boyden, la., together.
The funeral was from the home on Thursday afternoon, June 3, 1937, conducted by the pastor of the United Presbyterian church, Rev. J. S. Pollock, with interment in the Boyden cemetery.
