Mike Hansen, 80, of Alton died in his home east of Alton in the afternoon of October 2.

Funeral service were at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 5, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Reverend Norbert Boes officiated with burial in the parish cemetery. Rosary was recited at 3 P.M., October 4, by the Rosary Sodality and at 8 P.M. by the parishioners in the parish hall.

Mr. Hansen was born at the old homestead east of Anton on March 2, 1888, and lived there nearly all his life, except for five years he lived in Remsen.

He married Lucy Staah in Remsen on June 30, 1914. Three sons preceded him in death.

Note: The children are: a son, Norbert of Alton; three daughters, Mrs. J.T. (Valeria) O’Connell of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Harold (Florentine) Pickett of Prim, Arkansas, and Mrs. Frances (Rena Marie) Burns of Las Vegas, Nevada. His parents were Peter and Susan (Konz) Hansen.
