Sioux County Capital of October 24th 1957.

Services held at Sioux Center for Mrs. A. De Zeeuw SIOUX CENTER — Funeral services were held at the First Reformed church Thursday, October 17, for Mrs. Andrew De Zeeuw, 60, lifelong resident of Sioux Center. She died Monday afternoon, of a heart ailment. Services were conducted by the Rev. Harry Brower, and burial was made in the Sioux Center cemetery.

Mrs. De Zeeuw, nee Alida Berghuis, was born in Sioux Center, February 21, 1897, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Berghuis. She grew to womanhood in this community and was married to Andrew De Zeeuw May 20, 1920.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, John Andrew of Hull, William Earl of Ames and Roger Dean at home; four daughters, Esther Marie (Mrs. Gerrit Vermeer) of Sioux Center, Vera Jeane (Mrs. Wm. H. Taylor) of Ireton, Norma Arlene (Mrs. Maurice Vander Berg) of Sioux Center, Ruth Elaine at home; her mother, Mrs. Peter Berghuis of Sioux Center; three brothers, Abe Berghuis of Hinton, William P. Berghuis of Minneapolis. Floyd Berghuis of Glendale, Calif.; two sisters, Lena (Mrs. Steve Slappendel) of Sioux Center and Florence (Mrs. Franklin Keller) of Fort Worth. Tex.; and 13 grandchildren.

One sister, Mrs. Gerrit Wanningen of Sioux Center, preceded her in death. Her father preceded her in 1936. Pallbearers were Orie Fylstra, Edgar Lancaster, John A. Mol Herman Sietstra, John E. De Zeeuw and Louis Boeyink.
