Lebanon---A number from this vicinity attended the funeral of Grandma Gandy at Ireton Monday afternoon. She suffered for a number of years with asthma and heart trouble. The family have the sympathy of all.

Ireton---Mrs. Elias Gandy, who has been in failing health for a number of years, passed away last Saturday night about one o'clock. For years she has suffered with asthma and was not able to lie down, but sat in a chair, most of the time sleeping in a chair. She came to Ireton with her husband some ten years ago. She took a severe cold about a week before her death and was not able to throw it off. She is survived by her aged husband, four daughters and four sons, all grown. Funeral services were held from the home Monday afternoon, and the same evening the body was taken to Montour, their old home, for burial. It was accompanied by Mr. Gandy, Mrs. Vreeland of Montour, Mrs. Anderson of Brookings, S.D., and Mrs. M. Grau.
